Elevators
600 Mass Avenue has twelve passenger (12) elevators:
- Eight (8) passenger elevators service the 600 Mass Avenue office tower.
- Two (2) shuttle elevators service the parking garage from the Lobby and Concourse Level.
- One (1) shuttle elevator service the parking garage, Concourse and Level 1 at I Street.
- One (1) service elevator service Levels 11 through P2.
Access cards or fobs are required to operate elevators for all floors, except those to the parking garage.
Elevator Malfunction
All elevators are equipped with an interior telephone panel button which is answered 24 hours a day by Otis Elevator.
Should an elevator stop:
- Remain calm.
- Press the button with the bell symbol to reach the Elevator Emergency Operator.
During a power outage the elevators will continue to operate using the Property’s dedicated emergency backup power system.
Service Elevator
All deliveries and intra-building movement of furniture and property must be made using the service elevator at the West Loading Dock, including deliveries between floors. Tenants are asked to use carts with rubber bumpers and to only utilize the service elevator located at the western end of the loading dock.

*Handrails protrude four (4) inches from the cab interior wall dimension.
The service elevator can only be reserved with no less than a 24-hour prior notice to the Property Management Office by authorized tenant contacts.. Large deliveries must be scheduled — at least 24 hours in advance — with the Property Management Office. Due to the needs of all.
The service elevator is available from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM on a first come, first served basis for deliveries meeting these criteria:
Deliveries which exceed these requirements must be scheduled in advance with the Property Management Office and must be performed between the hours of 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
Service elevator reservations must be confirmed in writing and include a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) for the delivery service, company or other tenant contractor. A copy of the property insurance requirements is located in the FORMS section of this Tenant Manual.
Service Elevator Hours of Operation:
7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday, excluding holidays.
Please note: Weekday deliveries during loading dock operating hours must be limited to one half of an elevator load. Elevators and Loading Dock space are not reserved for daytime deliveries and there is a mandatory twenty (20) minute parking limit in the Loading Dock.
The service elevator is operated by a security access card system twenty-four (24) hours a day. Delivery personnel are required to check in with the Loading Dock Security Office during normal operating hours to gain access to tenant floors. Please contact the Property Management Office for questions about programming tenant access cards to include the use of service elevators.
