Hours of Building Access
600 Mass Lobby Entrance – Secured at 7:00 PM through 6:00 AM the following morning, and all day weekends
I Street Entrance – Secured 24/7/365 and requires authorized Tenant Access Control card, fob or credential.
600 Mass Parking Garage – Secures at 11:00 PM, reopening at 5:00 AM Monday through Sunday.
Loading Dock – The main Loading Dock opens at 7:00 AM and is closed at 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. It is closed on weekends.
Tenant employees, who have been provided with an authorized Tenant Access Control card, fob or credential, may access the property 24 hours per day via the 600 Mass or I Street Entrances. Access after standard Lease Hours is entirely at the discretion of the Tenant employer, who is responsible for their employees while on-site.
Parking Garage access for monthly contract holders is 24/7/365. Daily parkers may access the Garage after hours by utilizing the Parking Entrance on Mass Avenue.
Electrical and Telephone Closets
Electrical and Telephone Closets may only be accessed with the prior approval of Property Management. Tenants wishing to access the closets. Requests for access must be made through the Building Engines portal, with at least 72 hours advance notice. Please note the purpose of the access, what time it is required and the name of the proposed contractor performing work. Any approved access to an electrical closet will require the use of a licensed electrical contractor.
Installation of new cabling from the telephone closets to the Tenant’s leased premises may require the removal and replacement of adjoining ceiling tile, which must be performed by property Management staff and may be subject to a charge.
Loading Dock
The West Loading Dock is open 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. All deliveries must be made through the secure loading dock. A Security Officer is on duty to facilitate movement of traffic and deliveries. Deliveries are limited to a maximum of twenty (20) minutes. Traffic flow is strictly monitored and violators will be towed.
Need more time in the loading dock? Deliveries requiring more than twenty (20) minutes, including tenant move-in and move-out, must be scheduled in advance with the Property Management Office at (202) 734-6000.
A Tenant move or multi-floor activity that requires the Loading Dock and Service Elevators have to be conducted during stated property business hours. Please contact the Property Management Office at least 24 hours in advance to make appropriate scheduling arrangements for any tenant activities, especially moves that need access to the service elevator for over 20 minutes.
Messenger and Food Delivery Services
All messengers and delivery personnel will need to access the West Loading Dock to gain admittance to 600 Mass Ave. The West Loading Dock is open 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
All deliveries, including food service, will need to sign-in at the Loading Dock Security Office before being approved for access to the Service Elevator and their destination.
Utilizing the Datawatch VistorWatch system, messengers and delivery personnel are given an identification badge and provided elevator access to the respective delivery floor (see the Security Vendor and Contractor Access Badges section in this Tenant Manual).
United States Postal Service Mail Service
The Mail Service Facility is across from the Property Management Office on the Lobby Level. Each tenant is assigned a mailbox. Tenants will receive their mailbox assignments and keys from the Property Management Office. Mail pick-up and drop-off with a hand truck or cart must be made via the Service Elevator. Mail is delivered to the Property each day, Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.
Express Mail and Package Shipment Services
There are no drop boxes available at the property. Tenants are encouraged to locate the nearest UPS, USPS or FedEx facility nearest to 600 Mass.
Amazon deliveries will be made exclusively to the Mail Service Facility and Tenants will be responsible for retrieving their addressed packages. It is important that all Amazon deliveries clearly state the name of the recipient, their Tenant company name and Suite number. Failure to do so may result in packages being removed from the Facility.
